Ornamentation is the use of non-necessary musical flourishes, such as trills and grace notes, to the basic melody or harmony.
What is an oratorio? How does it differ from an opera?
An oratorio is a large-scale composition, including soloists, choirs, and orchestras. It did not use scenery in the performance like an opera and . Also, history and mythology, using themes of romance and deception while oratorios were usually on sacred topics.
What is an orchestra? How did the development of orchestras influence Baroque music?
Orchestra’s are larger instrumental ensembles or groups that contain brass, string, percussion, and woodwind instruments. The developement of orchestras motivated the composers of the baroque period to write specifically for orchestras and made an influence on the types of instruments being created.
What is an instrumental suite?
An instrumental suite is a series of dances. Different parts of an instrument suite include; Prelude, Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, & Gigue .

I think Vivaldi was an influential figure in baroque music because his music was innovative & he brightened the formal and rhythmic structure of the concerto, in which he looked for harmonic contrasts and innovative melodies and themes.
